One of the best things about our last Disney Cruise wasn’t even the vacation! It was the motivation to get in gym and get my body “cruise ready”. And by cruise ready, I don’t mean thin. My goal was to turn my body into a fat burning machine so that when I got on the boat I could eat EVERYTHING I wanted whenever I wanted in. Looking better in my bathing suit was just a side effect of my main goal.
But something amazing happened during the months leading up to our sailing date. At that time, I was working out every day because my husband was deployed overseas and I had a lot of time on my hands.
(I need to get back into the habit!) He was working out every day because he was in a war zone and had nothing else to do but eat, sleep, work, and exercise on the base.
However, my sister and her husband were not regular gym goers. But their Fitbit steps dramatically increased, and kept going up. We were in full blown competition by the time we set sail. We were all also, in awesome shape.
